Lone Wolf Mythology
You, alone in bed, alone in your home, alone at your computer with drowsy eyes and a hidden passion deep inside you, believing in the lone wolf lens -
the ‘It’s me vs The World’ arena because Pride is rising, the chip on your shoulder gains weight every day you haven’t met your goals and to be vulnerable enough to ask for help feels like splinters to your confidence.
On the other side of this self bolted door is a brand new world - one where you’re surrounded by talent, specialist, a person or team you trust.
Two men sit back to back on a hardwood floor. One looking out toward the window, the other facing toward the fireplace. The only furniture in the room is a dark wooden coffee table, 5 feet long, 2 feet wide and 2 feet off the ground. On top of the table in a 3 foot lamp with stain glass shade.
The house smells of fresh cut timber, plywood.
The man facing the fireplace is a man of brute size, thick and husky with ironic looking jolly cheeks that create confusion in anyone that goes from seeing him to talking to him. “Wow you’re a nicer guy than I expected!” And this has become normal for him. He’s aware his appearance sparks fear and threat. It is no lie that with one squeeze of the hand he could pop a head from its neck, yet he wouldn’t even consider doing this to a bug.
He’s never lied once in his life - so he says, and he says it with a trusting, disarming voice. “I promise.” I believe you. He’s wearing thick and worn in boots, practical but not stylish and it seems as if these are the only shoes he’s ever owned. This one is a genius, a small picture savant that can quickly gauge the difference in two of the most minute details. He is an assassin of the dagger sort - up close, nose touching subject.
The other sits barefoot facing out the window. “This, that? No! think think..” mumbled under his breath. He has a
tall and wiry frame like some pulled his skull and toes in opposite direction daily for the first year. Rail thin and he only eats fruit pick under a full moon by 6 virgins.
